The purpose of this page is to coordinate JavaScript development efforts for GeoNode.

JavaScript guidelines

• Use GeoExplorer(.Viewer) rather than GeoExt.MapPanel for mapping components. This will, among other things, automatically take care of loading the shared background layer configuration, and map state settings saved in the GeoNode db.
