User Profile and Dashboard

Standard View

The user profile is much like a group profile, having a dynamically-generated summary (1.1), description (1.2) and map/data catalog (1.8) but also features social tools like a "Message" button for an internal messaging system.

Dashboard View

Consistent with the idea of " one interface", the dashboard view exposes options for editing descriptive content (including name and profile image) (2.2), adding maps or data (2.3), setting privacy/language/region (2.4), and allows actions (eg, removal or modification) to be performed on data which the user has added (2.8).

Activity Feeds

  • Standard view: Following a member (1.0) adds the user's activity feed (eg, new maps and data) to one's user dashboard's activity section (2.10) and changes the button to an "Unfollow" button (1.0). Depending on implementation, the activity feed should include: when the member joined the site; adds/creates or modifies data or maps; creates, joins, or contributes to a public group; favorites a map or data set. The feed need not include: when a user deletes maps or data; leaves a group; follows, unfollows, or blocks another user; unfavorites a map or data set.The collapsible menu (1.0) provides options for moderating relationships to users (eg, block, report as spam, etc).
